Tea Party

The tea party movement is a new political movement that started to gain popularity from the conservatives since 2009, mainly in response to Federal Laws made by Obama's administration. The main purpose of this movement is said to be to stop wasteful money spendings by the government and the reduction of taxation. These people leading the tea party movement want more individual freedom and the government to have less control and influence on the economy. In other words these people want the government to mind their own businesses and stay out of their lives. The name Tea Party comes one of the most famous events in US history th Boston Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party and the Tea Party movement correspond to each other in the way that the American colonists rebelled against the taxes and regulations the British were setting on them as of today the Tea Party is not so much rebelling but pursuing the idea of a more free individual life, away from government regulations.

Tea Party Express hits the road for 2010 races.

The Tea Party are going on a national bus tour to rally on voters. As such events are organized the Tea Party are gaining more and more supporters. This has happened before and these are signs of the Tea Party's potential of maybe become the major power in US politics in the future.

However in my opinion the Tea Party Movement seems like a bunch of rich people wanting to earn more money, it seems that their definition of more freedom is giving less money away to the government. US is one of the most developed country and known for it's developed individual freedom, yet people seek more and more individual freedom. It would make sense to have a complete individual freedom society if everyone were beginning from the same starting point, but and do not live in a society such with everyone beginning on the same starting point. In today's world money is what makes money, if more individual freedom is granted the rich will only get richer and the poorer will only get poorer.
